It took me two years instead of one, but finally, my art challenge project 20023/24 is completed! (To be correct, I would have to title it #fortnightlyartjournal now.)
I had a lot of fun creating all these sketchbook pages and I learned a great deal.
- I learned about what techniques work well with others and what don’t.
- I learned about choosing colors (how to make them subdue or pop, how to contrast and how to blend).
- I learned about mixing media and adding texture in a good and in a bad way.
- I learned about simplicity and abundance.
- I learned about perspective and about breaking it.
- I learned about directly telling a story or letting the viewer find his/her own.
- I learned to feel cozy within my comfort zone and to feel excited to step out of it.
- I learned about succeeding and failing… and still enjoying creating.
- I learned about what creative techniques I already knew as a child but had forgotten as an adult.
- I learned a lot about myself.
